THE ANGORA FIRE
Photos taken on June 24, 2007 By Channel 10 Film Crew. I saw this first on TV.

Sunday afternoon my granddaughter Morgan, and I took my two dogs on a walk to Seneca Pond in the woods west of our house. We got back home at around 2:00. At 2:15 we start hearing sirens and look out back to find the sky full of smoke.

We run down to the end of the block to see what was going on and we see the entire Angora meadow ablaze. As we head back to the house an El Dorado Sheriff is telling everyone to "get out now". We run back to the house to get the animals. They are all scared and trying to hide. I had to go to the garage to find the pet carriers and put them together.

We finally get 2 dogs and 4 of the 5 cats into the truck. Buddy couldn't be found. We left and within minutes my house was on fire. Everything I owned was inside including Lenore's ashes. She is now a very real part of Lake Tahoe.  Next image

The fire started at Seneca Pond just 1 hour after we were there.
